Memorial Day weekend had plenty of room for another Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon.

It's want ads on the radio called in by our listeners.  We do it every Saturday from 9-Noon.  It's radio totally about you and your needs.

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their listing.  It helps us get to know them better and provides a theme that ties all our calls together.

Being Memorial Day weekend we expected a prime topic to be grilling.  Of course there is plenty of smoking and bar-b-que-ing happening also.  We were curious if you were planning on tossing some meat on the grill.  Or bar-b-que.  Or smoker.

As expected, outdoor cooking was very popular with our callers this week.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program that we recite at the beginning of each hour, I always bring you a special Rule #6.  It changes every week.  Sometimes inspired by something that has happened to me over the previous week, this week I decided to bring you a grilling tip in the name of juicy burgers.

To make the perfect hamburger you need to start with proper meat.  This means getting hamburger that has a decent fat content and not too lean.

Rule #6 For the best hamburgers use beef no leaner than 85%.
