SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — A friend of Trayvon Martin's who was on the phone with him shortly before his fatal fight with George Zimmerman says she thought the encounter was racially charged.
George Zimmerman, the man who fatally shot Florida teenager Trayvon Martin earlier this year, was charged with second-degree murder and taken into custody on Wednesday.
As the outrage over the death of teenager Trayvon Martin continues, film director Spike Lee has had to issue an apology for a tweet he posted in relation to the case.
