Texas Museum Removes Trump Statue Because Visitors Keep Punching It

The famous Louis Tussauds Waxworks in San Antonio, Texas had no choice but to take down their wax statue of former President Donald J. Trump because visitors can't seem to keep their hands off of it.

According to an article published by Independent, the wax statue of Trump was moved into storage to prevent further damage. Apparently, the statue has been scratched, punched and messed with enough that the museum thought it wise to move it away before it was completely ruined.

Trump's wax statue at Madame Tussauds Berlin was also taken down as a "preparatory measure."

This isn't the first time a wax figure has been messed with. Highly political figures are often targeted by guests in the museum, and after the turmoil of the past four years, they are probably just glad nothing worse happened to it.

Clay Steward, the regional manager for Ripley Entertainment, told San Antonio Express-News that the problem will likely cease when the museum introduces the wax figure of Joe Biden, which is currently in the works.

"We've always had trouble with the presidential section because no matter what president it was -- Bush, Obama, or Trump -- they've all had people beat them. The ears were ton off Obama six times. And then Bush's nose was punched in," Steward told them.

Ripley Entertainment made three statues of the former president. Two of them are at the San Antonio attraction, and the one in the Louis Tussaud Wax Museum located in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Louis Tussauds Waxworks plans to keep the battered wax Trump figure stored away somewhere safe until July.
