Overnight Shooting at a South Lubbock Club Leaves One Dead

Authorities are investigating an overnight shooting at a club in South Lubbock.
Lubbock County Sheriff’s Deputies were called for reports of shots fired just before 2 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Angelwitch Cabaret club, located at 609 County Road 7150.
When deputies arrived at the scene, the gunshot victim, identified as 28-year-old Joseph Burks, was found inside the building. Burks was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
As of this time, no suspects have been named.
