One Shamrock Shake: $2.19, In a McDonald’s Gold Cup $100,002.19

The stampede has been on to get the much sought after Shamrock Shake at McDonald’s before the minty milkshake runs dry again. Now McDonald’s has done something to celebrate the Golden 50^th anniversary of the Shamrock Shake with the Golden Shamrock Shake and it's not cheap.

Basically, it’s the shake, but in a hand-crafted cup made with 18K gold and speckled with 50 green emeralds and white diamonds. It also includes 50 yellow diamonds in each of the Golden Arches. Yeah this isn't your typical fast-food cup. In fact, it carries an appraised value of almost $100,000. That shake will bring the boys to the yard.

If you want to get your hands on the cup, it will be available through an auction on the Ronald McDonald House Charities eBay for Charity page. Though it's worth quite a pretty penny, the bidding for it starts at just a buck. All of the proceeds from the winning bid will go to the Ronald McDonald House and bidding ends at 5 a.m. on March 6.

If you don't have that much $$ laying around, there is also another way to get your very own golden cup. Every customer who orders a Shamrock Shake or Oreo Shamrock McFlurry on the McDonald's website or mobile app will be entered to win a Golden Shamrock Shake, gold cup and all. This also goes through March 6.

Personally the plastic cup fits me just fine.
