Growing up on the east coast, we had 2 chains of gas stations called Wawa and Sheetz. In both cases, these stores had full service kitchens that served everything from sandwiches to macaroni and cheese. Think deli meets convenience store meets gas station. So when I moved to Amarillo, I was a little disappointed that the Toot'n Totum or Pak-A-Sak stores really didn't offer much in the ready to eat food department. But that is about to change... a little bit.

Which Wich Superior Sandwiches is slated to open this September at the Toot'n Totum store across from the hospitals. Finally I can stop for gas and grab a real sandwich! While there will only be one location opening, Toot'n Totum management say there are plans to expand to other locations in Amarillo down the road.

Which Wich is unique from other sub shops in how you place your order. You grab a paper sub sleeve bag, you fill out the menu in marker on the bag, sign your name, then hand it to the sandwich chefs. It's a big menu too! Click here to see what they offer.

Now I was hoping this would also provide a great late night stop to grab something on the way home, but for now the hours of the new sandwich joint will be 10am-8pm, 7 days a week. Not too bad!
