Amarillo is on TV Yet Again; Man is Arrested in Murder Cold Case
It may have taken some help from the Oxygen Channel, but a former Potter County man was arrested in Colorado and charged with the 1994 murder of an Amarillo woman.
Jesse Hogue, was arrested Thursday in Pueblo, Colorado without incident by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations and Narcotics Unit with assistance from the U.S. Marshal Service. Jackie Hogue was killed in February 1994. Jackie's mother found her body in her Bishop Hills home.
Officials say around July 12, 2018, Cold Justice, the Oxygen Channel series that assisted law enforcement agencies with unsolved cold cases, contacted the department asking if the department had any unsolved homicide cases the show could assist them with.
After assistance from the Cold Justice legal and production team, the case was recently taken to a Potter County Grand Jury and a murder warrant was issued for Jesse Hogue.
If you want to see the show, the Hogue case will be the "Cold Justice" season finale and will air on Saturday, April 6th at 5 pm Amarillo time on the Oxygen Channel.
