A judge ruled yesterday that the owners of our Red Robin have to close immediately as their dispute with the parent company reaches a new level of acrimony.

Red Robin has been serving food the last few weeks but doing it with all their signage covered up.  They've been fighting with the Red Robin parent company for at least a year and half.

The Colorado based company claims the Amarillo store owners have unpaid franchise fees and has asked them to stop claiming themselves as a Red Robin.  The restaurant here was able to work out a deal that allowed them to continue selling food but not allowed to identify themselves as Red Robin.

The parent company determined the restaurant was still using proprietary materials and processes.  They filed a restraining order and the order was granted.

Now almost 50 people are out of work and bottomless fries are now a part of Amarillo food service history.
