Everything is bigger in the state of Texas, everyone knows that right? So when a new business comes to the area, there's the possibility it'll be the biggest one ever built. For one Target in the state of Texas, they might take the crown for biggest in the world.

What Led To The Discovery Of The New Target?

Like all news these days, many saw it on social media. One user posted to Tik Tok talking about what the Target will bring to the Liberty Hill area in Austin:

Measuring at a staggering 149,000 square feet, the store is already under construction since July of 2025, and should be fully done in 11 months, with completion in June 2026. With a lot of square feet to cover, many have speculated what will be inside the store itself.

However, is this actually going to be the biggest store in the world? Questions still remain.

Will This Actually The Biggest Target In The World?

MySanAntonio reported that this bigger store is part of an bigger initiative of the company. This is part of a plan, as was revealed by Senior Vice President Of Properties for Target, John Conlin:

"Our new store layout is bigger than our previous stores, and that extra space and optimized layout ensures our team can offer the very best of Target to our guests, whether they’re shopping online or in our stores."

But at the time of writing, the claim of it being the biggest target in the world hasn't been proven. MySanAntonio did contact Target, but at the time of writing, they haven't responded.

So it remains to be seen if Texas will truly hold the title of having biggest Target in the world.
