Amarillo has been a bit starved for live music events over the last 5 years or so. Sure, there have been a few acts that have rolled through, and we've seen some different ones over that period of time.

However, it's been quite a while since we've had something that resembled a music festival. The Hoodoo Mural Festival is the closest we've come to something like that, at least that I can think of.

New Music Festival Coming To Amarillo

Well, that's all about to change. The Sod-Town Festival was recently announced for July 18-20 at HODGETOWN, and it's the first ever music festival to be held inside the baseball stadium.

When the festival was announced, there was no lineup given, but all of that has changed as the Texas-centric lineup has been announced.

Who's Performing On Friday, July 18

Eight acts are set to take the stage on Friday, July 18, and it's going to be an electric night. The first act is slated for 4 pm, and everything will wrap up around midnight.

Some of the opening acts consist of Hunter Reed, Tristan Roberson, and Hadlie Jo. Other acts slated to appear are Chandler Pearson, Aiden Logsdon, and Evan Boyer.

The two headliners promise to bring some serious fun and energy to the stage. Hannah Dasher is a TikTok star known for being all sorts of fun. After that, For Worth-based Grady Spencer & The Work will hit the stage to wrap up day one.

Who Will Take The Stage Saturday, July 19

Saturday will be even more jam-packed with acts. Kicking off at 9 am, some of the first bands to take the stage will include Seth Ward, Gone Country, Desert Folk, and my personal favorite band name, Sal & The Stonewall Hippies.

JoJo Disalvo will perform, and for the second day in a row, Evan Boyer is set to take the stage.

Three artists comprise a shared co-headline slate on Saturday. The Lowdown Drifters out of Fort Worth, while Lubbock native Slade Coulter will also perform. The biggie at the end? None other than William Clark Green.

What's Happening On Sunday, July 20

The event will wrap up on Sunday, July 20, with a private VIP acoustic brunch. Nothing like kicking back and enjoying a solid brunch with some live music.

Slated to perform at the brunch are Evan Boyer and Mitchell Ford.

Are There More Acts Coming

In fact there are! The Sod-Fest Facebook page mentioned there were even more artists being announced, so it sounds like it's only going to get bigger and better.

Could they be getting ready to announce a huge act that is going to make us freak out?

How To Purchase Tickets For The Sod-Fest Festival

Tickets are on sale right now, and they are only $35 per day. If you are planning on attending both Friday and Saturday, you can save yourself $5 per day and purchase a two-day pass for only $60.
