Sometimes the city is really working hard to make Amarillo a nice place to live and give us different amenities to enjoy. I give them credit for that at times, and they recently did something that I know I'd thoroughly enjoy myself.

John Ward Memorial Park, more commonly referred to as Medi park, isn't normally a place I frequent. It's not a negative thing, it's just not somewhere I have a tendency to head out to. However, this new installation would make me want to head out that way.

They just installed a brand new dock on Friday and it's absolutely beautiful. It's a perfect place to either cast a line and do a little fishing, or just take in the water and catch a bit of zen if you need it.

Sitting right on top of the water in essence, the dock is the perfect place to bring your fishing pole and have somewhere to lean up against if you are a stander when you cast a line.

Maybe you aren't a fisher but your significant other is, or maybe you just want to sit down and take a deep breath from life for a bit. Well, there are two benches there you can sit on and just relax.

However, someone thought it would be fun to go ahead and vandalize one of the benches less than 24 hours after it being installed. It wasn't even any cool artwork or anything, just a vulgar message letting you know you are if you sat on the bench.

Now, while extremely frustrating, the city decided to have a little fun on their Facebook page with it considering the vandal used improper grammar with their message. The city is however not letting the message stay, but the vandal will now live in infamy here in the city for their issues with the English language.

Just another reason though why we can't have nice things in Amarillo. Let's hope it stays cleaned up once they get the message removed.

You can see the video of the installation (and the message that was left) on their Facebook page.
