Amarillo Could Change Bus Routes—Here’s How You Can Have a Say
There are many people in Amarillo who rely on public transportation. Some of them by choice, some of them by need. I know I just see a lot of people using the bus, or other methods to get around town.
Sometimes, though, those buses aren't exactly convenient or don't quite put you close enough to where you need to be. Sure, you know when you take the bus, there's going to be a bit of walking more than likely to reach your destination. Some find a short walk in front of them, others a bit longer than they probably wanted.

Amarillo City Transit Could Change Routes
Each year, the current fixed routes the buses take are reviewed. There are a number of factors that go into it, such as how many people frequent a certain stop or area. Amarillo City Transit wants to make sure public transportation is serving the community properly.
However, prior to potentially changing the fixed routes, they are going to host numerous meetings for the public to attend. Why is this important? Well, it's the public utilizing those routes, and the public can tell them where some routes are lacking.
