One of the most dangerous cities when comes to hit-and-runs can be found right here in Texas. And you might be surprised by which city was named the most dangerous in Texas.

According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that was studied by Florida lawyers Anidjar & Levine, that looked at the number of fatal road incidents between 1017 and 2021 broken down by hit-and-run outcomes, the most dangerous cities were found.

According to this research, Amarillo is the most dangerous city in Texas for hit-and-runs. While Amarillo was the most dangerous in Texas, they were only 29th across the United States.

According to the research, 7.83% of all fatal traffic incidents in Amarillo involved a hit-and-run.

Amarillo is Texas's deadliest city for hit-and-runs, ranking above every other city in the state for its rate of fatal hit-and-run incidents. Exactly 115 fatal road traffic incidents were recorded in the city from 2017 to 2021, 7.83% of which involved a hit-and-run. As well as being the deadliest city in the state for hit-and-runs, Amarillo ranked 29th across the entire country.
If you were wondering about the most dangerous cities in America for hit-and-runs, look to California. According to a press release, eight of the most dangerous cities were located in California. Including Fresno which claimed the top... or worst spot.
