A person, I'm presuming an idiot, asked me, "how long are you going to wear that mask"?

I received my first COVID shot and my second will be scheduled sometime after February 18th. Two weeks after that second shot my body should be charged up with all the antibodies that it's going to get. That's it, that's how science works.

I am still going to wear my mask for as long as possible. I am going to wear it for so many reasons but first because screw you that's why. I'll wear whatever the hell I want and if you don't like it you can kick rocks.

I'll be wearing my mask probably for as long as big stores let me wear a mask. I realize that I am a big fish in a tiny pond, but I'm still a big fish and I will set an example until no more people are willing to get vaccinated, then I'll decide if I want to take it off.

I might keep it on so long that people will get uncomfortable with me wearing a mask. I have luckily avoided COVID, but I've also avoided the flu, the annual grunge that comes around after school starts, and the upper-respiratory infection that I usually get from whatever the hell the wind blows in.  Masks don't just work against COVID, they work against a variety of things.

Now, once I've had my two shots and my friend have had their two shots I'll have zero problems sitting at the kitchen table with them without a mask on. As long as the general public stays committed to ignorance and keeps passing this stuff around, I'll be in a mask.
