Homer’s Backyard Ball Selected As Qualifier For World Food Championships

Homer's Backyard Ball has been selected as a qualifier for the World Food Championships.

The BBQ contest at Homer's is legendary and the stakes just got a little higher.  The event has been selected as a qualifier for the World Food Championships.  To reach the national event competitors must be named Grand Champion at Homer's on May 17th.

To be named Grand Champion the competitor must turn in all three categories;  chicken, brisket and ribs.  The World Championships or "The Ultimate Food Fight", with a max of 550 competitors and a total purse of $300,000.
