Having a Garage Sale In Amarillo. Is It Worth It?
One thing about me, I LOVE finding deals on different items. I also love to get rid of clutter that I don't need nor want anymore.
The first thing that comes to mind? Of course, garage sale.
There is something to be said for those weekend warriors who plot out a map and a plan every Saturday and Sunday just to hit as many sales as possible. I tried it once, and I did not succeed in sticking to my plan.
Maybe I just got sidetracked or got tired of jumping from place to place. I can tell you the few I did make it to, I found some cool stuff at bargain prices. I just wish I would've had the motivation to stick to it.
As my kids' baseball season starts to come to a close, I'll find myself with some spare time on the weekends to burn. I kind of want to give garage hopping another shot, but I want to build up some capital first so I can maximize it.
So how do I do that? Well, I should probably have a garage sale of my own right? My big question is this. How successful have YOUR garage sales been? What stuff has a tendency to sell the best and what kind of pricing do I put those things at to where it just flies off the proverbial shelf?
When we moved here over a year ago, we brought a bunch of stuff with us that we probably could've just left behind. In fact, we did leave some stuff behind that I wish we would've brought with us, but we ran out of room in the truck.
I want to make sure that if/when we move again, we don't have a truck filled to every inch possible. So, if I have a garage sale, will you come? What are you looking for? What do you typically buy at a garage sale when you go? In the words of Jerry Maguire, "help me, help you". Buy my stuff so I can buy other people's stuff!
Drop a comment below and tell me what you want to see at my garage sale. I'll hunt around and see if I've got it for ya.
