We have a lot to be proud of in the panhandle. You can add cheaper prices at the pump to that list.

Reports came out today claiming that the average price of gas in Amarillo has fallen by about 6 cents in the past week. That makes the average price of a gallon of gas in Yellow City, $2.27.

While it may not be the cheapest in the state, it definitely isn't the most expensive. According to the report, the most expensive price for a gallon of gas in Texas is $3.19.

The most expensive gas in the nation is priced at $6.24, according to the report. See, it could always be worse.

So, what will you be doing with the dough you save at the pump? Might I recommend going ahead and purchasing your tickets to Amarillo' Craft Beer and Bacon Fest. It's on October the 12th at the Amarillo Netplex, and let's be honest, you've earned it. You work hard and deserve to treat yourself.

Get your tickets for Amarillo's Craft Beer and Bacon Fest HERE, and smile the next time you're at the pump. At least you aren't paying 6 bucks a gallon.
