We had another exciting and gainful Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon last Saturday.

It's the show that invites you to call in and buy, sell, and trade.  We do it every Saturday.  As always you are invited to call in and participate or you can just listen.

The show works fairly simply.  You call in and tells us what you have for sale and give out your phone number and in theory the greater Amarillo metroplex beats a path to your phone to give you cash for those items.  We have a good time doing it as we feel its the most altruistic for of radio around.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our call a poll question before they give their items.  This week with the events in Paris I wanted to pick a lighthearted question that wasn't too hard to answer.

Earlier in the week I was checking out my belly button.  Thanks to the skill of surgeon Dr. James Hayhurst I still have one.  I fought and defeated colon cancer in 2010-2011.  Thanks to the incision the good doctor made, which went around my belly button, I still have one.  I was curious about our callers belly buttons and whether they had a "innie" or and "outtie".  Being aware this was a bit of a personal question we carried on anyway hoping our callers would play along.  Most did.

Is your belly button an innie or an outtie?

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program I always bring you a special rule #6.  Sometimes inspired by something that happened over the previous week, this one inspired by the events in Paris on Friday.

I was talking to my significant other about the attacks and she expressed that she doesn't understand the people that execute these attacks and why they do it.

My response, at least I felt, made for a good rule.

Rule #6: Nobody understands them, they don't want to be understood.

See you next Saturday for another Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon!
