Couple Unfriends Woman On Facebook, Woman’s Dad Kills Couple

I remember the old days when you wanted to stop being someone's friend.  It was easy, you simply drifted away and lost contact.  Thanks to Facebook, if you want to unfriend someone, you've got to pretty declarative about it.  And that might get you killed.

Marvin Potter's daughter was unfriended by a Tennessee couple.  This did not go over well.  After the victims complained to the police about ongoing harassment of the victims, Mr. Potter took things a step further.

Potter, 60, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in last week’s slayings of Billy Payne Jr. and his girlfriend, Billie Jean Hayworth. The couple was shot to death in their Mountain City home in the far northeast corner of the state. Their 8-month-old baby was found unharmed in Hayworth’s arms.

In the future maybe it is best just to stay friends.
