Clovis Police on Wednesday made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting.

CPD just after 8:15am on Wednesday morning, responded to a shots fired call in the 700 block of East 5th Street. Two victims had suffered gunshot wounds and both were initially taken to Plains Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

One of the shooting victims, 58 year-old Ricky Johnson, was then transferred to a Lubbock hospital where he died from his wounds.

The second shooting victim, 53 year-old Kennedy Hodge, died in Clovis at the Plains Regional Medical Center.

Minutes after the shooting, CPD arrested 54 year-old Danny Price. Price has been charged with two counts of Murder, Tampering with Evidence, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Resisting, Evading, or Obstructing an Officer.

Price is currently in custody at the Curry County Adult Detention Center awaiting arraignment.

Clovis Police did not state what they thought lead to the deadly shooting.
