City Of Amarillo Website Not Connected With City Of Amarillo

A company has purchased the website www.cityofamarillo.com and this had led to some confusion for Amarillo residents.

The company is called CityOf.com and they have sites for over a 100 cities.  They recently went live with ww.cityofamarillo.com and have begun to pitch advertising for the site around the city.

Originally reported as a scam last week it has since been discovered that CityOf.com is accredited with the Better Business Bureau and is a legitimate business although there is no connection between the company and the city.

The official website for the city is www.amarillo.gov.
