It's Miracle Week, a week to celebrate the work Children's Miracle Network does to help families with sick or injured children in the Texas panhandle. They also do a lot to help out our local hospitals by raising funds that go to help provide much needed equipment when it comes to treating children.

To celebrate at the end of the week Chldren's Miracle Network will be hosting a Cornhole Tournament. It's appropriately titled, "CMN Cornhole for the Kids Tournament." It will be held this Saturday (10/02/2020).

While I personally am about as good at playing cornhole as a chimpanzee is at explaining Einstein's theory of relativity, there are some very talented individuals around who have a knack for the game. I know of several people whose appreciation of the game goes beyond just killing time at a cookout.

Heck, we even have a guy in town that makes some of the most impressive custom cornhole boards you can find.

The whole tournament sounds like an opportunity for the family to get out of the house and participate in something that will help out not just our community, but specifically those families in our area impacted by the medical needs of a child. The "family hours" will be at the beginning of the tournament, which kicks off at 5:30 PM.

You can find out more by following this link. There is an entry fee, and the winner walks away with a trophy and custom CMN cornhole set.

If you're not too shabby when it comes to handling beanbags, and have a friend that's pretty decent too, this might be a fun night out for everyone.
