Big Brother, Also Known As “OnStar” To Now Follow You Even When You Cancel Service

OnStar, a subsidiary of General Motors announced today they would be maintaining a two-way connection with all vehicles equipped with OnStar.  They will do this even after you cancel service.

OnStar's 6 million customers were notified that they will keep a complete accounting report of the speed and location of equipped vehicles.  They reserve the right to sell the information in an anonymized format.

OnStar claims the continuous connection will also aid in reconnecting the service for customers who've previously cancelled the service.
