A 29-year-old Amarillo after police identified him in connection with two incidents of a woman screaming .

At around 8pm last night officers responded to the Petro Truck Stop near Lakeside Drive and I-40 after witnesses reported a man trying to force a woman employee into a car.

Witnessed approached the man and informed him police were on the way. The woman was forced into the car, keeping the door open with her leg.  That is when good Samaritans intervened and rescued the lady from the assailant.

The woman told authorities the man was an ex-boyfriend.  The victim claims as she was leaving work the assailant approached her and began wrestling  her into the car.

At almost 11pm officers were sent to the 1300 block of South Washington.  The caller reported a woman screaming in a nearby residence.  An officer looked through a window of the residence and found a the man holding the woman at gunpoint.

When officers heard the woman state the weapon had been dropped they entered the residence.  Officers took Jacob Wayne Chism, 29 into custody.  The recovered a 9mm pistol in the room.

The victim claimed she was at the residence to retrieve some belongings while she thought the assailant was not home.  Once inside she was confronted by the assailant.

Chism was booked into Potter County on various charges.
