Amarillo Woman Settles TSA Lawsuit

I think for the most part the TSA people are good, hard working people. In some cases though, I feel that they are a complete waste of tax payer money. This is one of those instances.

A 24-year-old Amarillo woman who sued the federal government after her breasts were exposed by a female Transportation Safety Administration agent during an airport search has settled her case, court documents show.

Lynsie Murley filed the lawsuit against the TSA last year, claiming she was singled out for "extended search procedures" in Corpus Christi while preparing to board an aircraft destined for Amarillo on May 29, 2008.

"As the TSA agent was frisking plaintiff, the agent pulled the plaintiff's blouse completely down, exposing plaintiffs' breasts to everyone in the area," the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit claimed, among other allegations, that federal employees were negligent and that TSA agents intentionally caused the woman severe emotional distress by joking about the incident after the woman re-entered the airport screening area.

Of course the woman in the photo is not the woman in question from the story, but come on. Does this lady really need to be searched. But, in order to be politically correct, they waste time and money searching people who have no need to be searched.
