You may have noticed all the construction going on at the VA.  It's like they want to save the planet or something.

Solar panels are the wave of the future...meaning they aren't quite up to par yet.  But kudos for trying, VA.

In a few months workers will complete work on the $10.2 million project to top parking spaces with solar panels.  They expect to generate about 30% of the power the facility needs.

In October the VA installed a thermal cooling system.  The system uses stored ice with water circulating though and then piped through the hospital to cool the building.
