The Amarillo Sox started off their 2014 Season with a big win over Winnipeg on Thursday Night, but Friday and Saturday it was a different story.

Thursday night the bats were swinging at the Amarillo National Bank Stadium. In the second inning the Sox scored 9 runs alone to earn an 11-7 win, in game one, against Winnipeg.

It looked like this game could set the pace for the four game series with the Goldeyes, but the Friday and Saturday games favored the visiting team.

Game two and three put marks in the loss column for the Sox. Although it was a close game on Friday with a 5-2 win for Winnipeg, Saturday it was nothing but the Goldeyes running the field. After being slammed by an 18 hit onslaught, Amarillo couldn't recover and ended the night with a 12-2 loss.

Tonight the Sox hope to return the favor and tie the four game series at two a piece. Tonight's game also marks the first Free Admission Night presented by Family Medicine Center. The first pitch gets tossed out an hour earlier, then the previous three games, at 6:05 pm.
