Amarillo Raises Some City Fees
Water and drainage fees have been raised in Amarillo.
The fees went into effect on October 1st. Water and sewer rates were raised across the board by 3%. There is also a 4% increase in drainage fees.
The hikes are part of a five-year city-wide improvement plan designed specifically to keep up with Amarillo’s growth.
The most visible improvement due to the fees will be better storm water management.
