Texans will decide the fate of eight proposed amendments on November 2; including one which would expand religious freedom across the state

The ordinance was passed in Lubbock, with 62.46 percent of voters, voting in favor of the ordinance. The raw vote total was 21,400 in favor and 12,860 against.

Spiller will replace Drew Springer who was elected to a Texas Senate seat. Spiller will most likely be sworn into office in early March.
