TxDOT wants to make sure you know which areas to avoid ahead of time in order to skip the construction headaches around our region.

Now that Texas is slowly reopening, you may have noticed there are a lot more cars on the road lately. And yes, roadwork is continuing too.

If you will be doing any traveling around town this week, the Texas Department of Transportation has a list of areas you should avoid.

Even though you might be working from home, these are still the top spot to avoid this week and skip the headache.

Before you hit the road this week, make sure you know which area byways to avoid.

Construction is really taking shape on the south and western parts of the Amarillo loop.

As the panhandle sees a nice break in the winter weather, it is allowing road crews to get out and fix some spots before another cold blast heads our way.

Winter weather is upon Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle.  Due to the snowfall in the area roads are snowy and icy. Here's a list of delays and cancellations for area schools, organizations and businesses.
