United States Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) has announced that he has fully recovered from his diagnosis of COVID-19. The Senator announced yesterday that he will be resuming his regular congressional activities following his recovery from the disease.

Cassidy announced on August 20th that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He immediately contacted his personal physician and then began to follow the guidelines for those diagnosed with COVID-19 as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.

During his quarantine for the disease, Cassidy was able to maintain a fairly normal workflow by working remotely instead of being on hand at the Capitol. Cassidy also used his time in quarantine to help the state's leaders for the arrival of Hurricane Laura. That storm hit the state last Thursday.

Cassidy told reporters that one of the most important tasks facing his office is helping the state recover from Hurricane Laura. Cassidy said that would be his focus as he returns to his normal Congressional workload.

The Senator was very gracious in acknowledging the concerns and prayers offered to him during his illness.
