Just like the title of this article reads, 'unforgettable restaurants' I can honestly say I've got a couple that fit the bill. For me personally, the trend seems to be barbecue joints. I'm a Texan, I am always down for some good brisket, sausage, ribs, and chicken. That is why Black's Barbecue is a must anytime I am in the San Marcos area. If you've never tried it, 2 words, life-changing. There are also locations in Austin, Lockhart, Dallas, and New Braunfels just FYI.

Another personal favorite? Evie Mae's Barbecue in Wolfforth, TX if you are looking for something closer. The brisket and ribs are unlike any other and be sure to try the green chile cheese grits!

Enough of my recommendations, this TikToker says that these are the 5 most unforgettable restaurants in Texas and now I'm on a mission to try them all this year because after seeing the list, I have not been to any of them!

5. Krause's Cafe-New Braunfels, TX

This place offers appetizers called Kartoffel Poppers which is apple and sour cream, heck I'll try it! They have salads, wraps and soups and for your entree the Krause's Reuben sandwich sounds really good! (corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island, swiss, marble rye bread) Check out the full menu here.

4. The Shed-Abilene, TX

Prime rib, sliced brisket, smoked sausage and homemade dessert? Oh this definitely sounds like something I would love! Check out what else they have to offer.

3. Blue Lacy-Austin, TX

Ok I'll have the Texas Fries, let's just say they are loaded, the breakfast Monte Cristo, and for the fried chicken dinner to top it off. Wowza! Check out this menu.

2. The Garden-Dallas, TX

Hmmm, a little bit of everything here. Take a virtual tour and see what it's all about.
