The Amarillo Police Department is hosting a recruiting event on Saturday, January 28th.  The event will be held from 8 am - 11 am at the Amarillo Museum of Art.   This event is specifically for women who are interested in a career in law enforcement with the Amarillo Police Department.

Female Amarillo Police Officers will be at the event to answer any questions you might have about being a police officer with the Amarillo Police Department.  They can answer questions about what it is like to be a female officer in today's world and also what it is like to be a female police officer in Amarillo.   The APD female officers will be from all areas within the department and ranks, ages, and backgrounds.  You can learn about the positives and also the struggles they face as female officers.  Not only will you be able to ask questions, but row machines will also be available to demonstrate what the fitness test will look like if you are interested in pursuing a career.

You will be able to apply on-site if you choose to move forward with a law enforcement career with the Amarillo Police Department.

Child activities will be provided to those who are unable to secure childcare.  Amarillo Police Explorers will be there to monitor the children.

This is a come-and-go event for those women interested in becoming police officers with the Amarillo Police Department.  Plus light refreshments will be available for those who attend.
