North Side Toy Drive Ready to Give Out Gifts to Kids of Amarillo
Amarillo has the biggest hearts. We found that out during our Help 4 the Holidays drive recently. We keep giving and giving. Why? Well, it's Christmas time and we really care about the kiddos. We want them to have a gift that they can call their own.
There are a lot of community organizations that do a lot for families here in Amarillo. One that stands out every year is the North Side Toy Drive. They work hard to make sure that every kid has a gift they can call their own.
So it is about that time. They have been collecting gifts for a while to hand out this weekend. But first, they will have the North Side Black Tie Event on Friday. You can still attend the event. Your ticket? A toy for a kid aged 2 - 12.
Then, really what it is all about? The kids getting a toy. It's a great event. If you know a family that can benefit from this event let them know. You don't have to register. You just have to show up with your kiddo that needs a Christmas. A kid that needs a toy.
The best part is the kid actually picks out what they want. The parents don't get to go with them when they are picking out a gift. This way the kid gets what they want without a parent influencing them. Every kid leaves with a gift that they will love.
This is a great thing that the North Side Toy Drive Does. The toy giveaway is this Saturday at Palo Duro High School. There is no registration. You do not have to live on the North Side. You don't even have to see if you qualify. The only thing is your child has to be present. Your child will be the one picking out the gift.
