Free Amarillo Event to Get You Ready for Biggest Job in Your Life

Has parenting gotten even more difficult over the years? I think it has and there are some huge reasons why. The main one is technology. I had my one and only child towards the end of the nineties. We got our information from friends, family, and books. We read a lot to find out what we needed to know.

Basically, we didn't know a whole lot. I think we were better off for it. Now that I am watching my daughter raise my granddaughter I see how technology has made it harder. There are all these other outside sources to try to influence you. The big one being Tik Tok.

There are so many videos out there to totally terrify a new mom. I say time and time again that I am so glad not to have had the internet. I am glad I didn't know what I didn't know. You are never going to know it all when raising a kid. You can't.

I tell my daughter time and time again to verify anything she reads. These people are just wanting the views. What they are posting may not always be one hundred percent true. Talk to a trusted person. Talk to your doctor.

Events to Help New Parents are Great

Events that actually help with information that is official is a lot better than searching on the internet. Your chance to actually talk to other parents and trusted sources. Amarillo has a couple great events for parents coming up.

One is to Help with Potty Training

We are getting close to this stage with my granddaughter. So any tips to help toilet training easier you can count us in. It has been decades since I had to go through this and I would like to help my daughter through this. We got the training pants. We have the potty.

We even have little books for my granddaughter. She loves books. So reading about Daniel Tiger and him saying "When you have to go potty you stop and go right away." Yes, I think that will help but so will the class.

The Other One is For New Moms - A Babyshower

If you are a mom-to-be you definitely need the support. This baby shower will help with a lot of stuff. They will also give you a free car seat. That is big.  Oh, and diapers too. You will need a lot of those.  You can register for this HERE.

Both events will be free. Trust me the easier you can make parenting the better. The more you can learn the better. Just make sure you learn from trusted sources. Oh, and hey stay off of Tik Tok for advice. Please.
