The summer months are made for relaxing. It is a time to maybe relax. Spend some much-needed time at the pool. As it warms up we look for more places to cool off. To basically chill. Right?

Summer is made for eating a little lighter even. I mean we are spending time with fewer clothes on to keep cool. Our appetites may go down a bit in the heat so the healthier and lighter we can eat the better.

Well, that is not going to be something we count on as we are losing another healthy place to eat in Amarillo. What is going on? First, we lost Clean Juice. We also in the same timeframe lost Brent's Cafe, which was a great place to eat if you needed to be gluten-free.

I know that Amarillo is not anti-eating healthy. We just can't shovel in chicken fried steaks every single day. Heck, it would be such a perfect world if we could. We have to eat in moderation and we need to eat our fruits and vegetables. All of the doctors tell us that.

So when we lose places that are good for us it does make me worried. That, though, is what is happening.

According to their Facebook page, they are a locally owned and operated business bringing juices, smoothies, acai bowls, salads, and more to our amazing community!

So our community is losing another local place. That is tough to see. So if you want to support them in their final month, now is the time. They are located at 6200 Hillside Road.

Let's please put an end to all of these closings. We have lost a lot of places recently and I am not liking it.
