Social media can be a good way to get the word out in Amarillo. If you want to hear about the newest restaurants and shopping places there is probably a friend talking about it. Getting information like that from a friend is good. You can get their experience and know whether you want to try it.
Your friends can be a very valuable source of information like that. The downside is that a lot of time they can also be a horrible source for other news. Sometimes they see something and they want to share and get the word out and they spread a lot of false information.
