Amarillo Business Begins Rebuilding After Devastating Fire

It was late last year when the word came out that there was a fire at Unique Toys in Amarillo. There are very few toy stores in Amarillo so hearing this hurt. The fire has kept them closed since the September fire.

They said that they would be back. They even jumped in when we had some snow to have a pop-up sled sale. They were not going anywhere. It was sad that we had to go this past Christmas without this popular toy store in Amarillo that has been around for quite some time.

It was a place I used to shop at when my daughter was growing up. We like to shop there now for my granddaughter. So it did take away a go-to for her birthday this year and Christmas.

Luckily, the days of having them closed are numbered. This is great news for Amarillo.

Unique Toys is Starting to Rebuild in Amarillo

Good news if you drive by their store location at 7820 Hillside Road. They have a sign in front for a construction company. This is making it real. The reconstruction has begun.

They are hoping that the store will open either in September or October. It all depends on how smoothly the project goes. So if everything goes to plan we will not have to miss another Christmas without this local business.

Things are looking up, and we can't wait to be able to walk through those doors again. I know most kids are excited about Unique Toys being back open and soon.
