Nothing compares, though, to Pampa and the relationship it has with the afterlife. For whatever reason, Pampa, Texas seems to be one of the most haunted towns in Texas. The centerpiece of their terrifying collection of haunted places? The infamous Worley Hospital.

Pampa is home to plenty of haunted locations. The Hughes Building is supposedly home to the ghost a woman who loves to scare people with her shrieking. Worley Hospital is an iconic building. It was built in 1929 and served the community for as long as it could. The Worley Hospital eventually closed and sat abandoned for decades before new owners came along. Their dream of turning it into a Bed & Breakfast was derailed, supposedly, due to the intensity of the haunting occurrences within the hospital's walls. Today, it sits looming over the community of Pampa as possibly the most haunted place in the Texas panhandle.

Multiple Investigations Done At Worley Hospital; All Point To Legit Haunting

When you look up the Worley Hospital online, you are instantly inundated with paranormal investigations that have taken place at the iconic location. Paranormal investigators from all walks of life have made the pilgrimage to Pampa's infamous hospital to gather their own proof of things that go bump in the night.

Ghost Hunters filmed an entire episode in Pampa at the Worley Hospital. The episode features the team making contact with a "tortured soul" and evidence caught on a thermal camera. It also features stories of shadowy figures that reside within the hospital's walls.

More paranormal investigators have made the trip to Worley Hospital hoping to catch proof of something there that's "not of this world", and most of them left satisfied with what they encountered. Some encountered a ghostly mist that resembled a figure moving within the hospital. Others also made contact with supposed spirits. The one that seems most willing to speak up is one that claims to be a nurse.
