Texas is notorious for being a state where casinos don't exist. We get a swarm of news stories every year on whether or not the legislature will finally allow casinos to be built in Texas. There are all kinds of reports about companies that want to bring in this big destination resorts, that are keeping their fingers crossed this year will be the year. You might be surprised to find out that there are actually three casinos already in Texas.

Yes. There are casinos in Texas. They've been here for a while. You might not be familiar with them because we constantly hear about casinos not being allowed in Lone Star State. I was surprised to find out we've got three.

There's the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino, the Naskila Casino, and the Speaking Rock Casino. They're spread out across the state and have many of the kinds of things you would expect to find at a casino.

Speaking Rock Casino In El Paso, Texas

The Speaking Rock Casino is in El Paso, and according to their website, they offer a lot of entertainment. They're open seven days a week, all year long. Their website also makes a big deal about the variety of live entertainment they offer, along with the games.

Looking at their calendar of upcoming events, they've got everything from Saliva to MMA.

Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino In Eagle Pass, Texas

Another casino in Texas is the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass. This casino offers up a lot from fine dining to a lounge, live entertainment, and of course the games. The fine dining is done in the Azul. The Que Pasa Lounge is where they have everything from karaoke to live music and DJs.

They also have a "recently remodeled" luxury hotel.

Naskila Casino In Livingston, Texas

It's a strange thing to me that I lived in Livingston and Nacogdoches for a while, and I don't ever remember seeing a casino. It's there, though. The Naskila Casino is in Livingston, Texas. If you like the smell of pine trees while you game, this is your spot.

They have a lot of games to play, and they have a couple of options for when you get the munchies. They've got Timbers Grill and the Cafe Itto Si. Reviews speak highly of the chicken and sausage gumbo.

Can You Guess These Towns From Their Satellite Photos?

I'm always down for a good brain challenge. This one however got the best of me.

It's always a fun time looking up address or cities and seeing them from a satellite point of view. You start pointing out landmarks and things you recognize.

One thing you don't account for however is something looking bigger or smaller than you seemed to think it was. So we started grabbing a bunch of these satellite pictures of cities and towns around Amarillo.

As we looked at them, we thought to ourselves, "how fun would this be to actually have to GUESS what these places are?". So away we went.
