Real Christmas Trees Are Arriving In Amarillo! Here’s Where To Find Them.
One of the great debates held every year around the holidays is whether or not to get a "real" Christmas tree. "Real" trees offer a holiday experience that just can not be replicated by one of the "fake" trees. Plus, nothing is quite like going and picking out the perfect tree at Christmas time. For those wanting a "real" tree this Christmas in Amarillo, your time is almost here.
Real Christmas Trees Arriving In Amarillo
One of the ways you know that it's officially the holiday season in Amarillo, is when Treeland begins getting ready to open up. Visiting Treeland to get a tree is a big part of Christmas for many families in the area. This week, Treeland started unloading and setting up trees.
I was shocked when I went by on my way to work this morning and saw several trees already out. It got me excited for when they officially open shop in just a little over a week. I've got the perfect spot already picked out in the house, and I can't wait to see how a "real" tree is going to look in our home. This will be my first "real" Christmas since I was a kid. I'm ready to go full Griswald this year.
As of right now, there are several trees already on the lot. With a little over a week left before opening day, I suspect we'll see a lot more.
When Does Treeland Open In Amarillo For 2024?
Treeland officially opens up on November 29 this year. That's a week from this Friday. If you're planning on getting a real tree, you have a week to figure out where you're going to put it. Their hours this year are:
- Monday - Friday: 10 AM - 9 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM - 9 PM
- Sunday: 1 PM - 9 PM
You can find them at 1615 Bellaire. It's at the corner of Bellaire and Plains. You can't miss it. It will be the corner full of trees. We don't have many of those in town.
Treeland is put on by Boy Scouts Troop 80 in Amarillo. They've been selling these farm-grown fresh trees in Amarillo since 1955.
