Amarillo comes alive around the holidays. There are tons of events to look forward to. Holiday attractions are lit up, giving you an excuse to go out in the cold and shiver while you sip hot chocolate. Neighborhoods are slowly filling up with decorations. One of the biggest holiday traditions in Amarillo is back again this year, and it's going to light up the sky.

Christmas In The Sky Above Amarillo 2024

Christmas In The Sky is coming back to Hodgetown for another year to help us celebrate the holiday season. Once again, the sky above downtown Amarillo will be lit up with lights, drones, and fireworks. This year, though, the fireworks and drone show are supposedly going to make 2024 the best Christmas In The Sky yet.

The drone show will kick off at 7 PM after a special Christmas performance from Cameron James Smith. If you haven't seen a drone show yet, they're a lot of fun to watch. The show consists of drones creating elaborate patterns in the sky above Hodgetown. The drone show at Christmas In The Sky will be the first ever for the event, and the largest drone show ever in Amarillo. There will be 300 drones used in the show.

There will also be free hot chocolate, milk, and cookies. You can get pictures with Santa. Several holiday characters will be walking around for you to meet. It's honestly one of the biggest, if not the biggest, holiday celebrations in Amarillo.
