Texas Tech Baseball (3-3) got back to .500 in this young season by completing a three game sweep of the Houston Baptist Huskies on Sunday.

The Red Raiders won 11-2 on Sunday. That's after beating HBU 8-1 on Saturday, and 18-3 on Friday.

For the second consecutive start, sophomore lefty, Mason Montgomery, gave up just one earned run. In Sunday's win against HBU he pitched 5 innings. He struck out five Huskies and gave up two walks. HBU's lone run against Montgomery came via a solo home run.

Texas Tech's offense was firing on all-cylinders all weekend, and during Sunday's win, the Texas Tech bats scored eight of their runs in the 4th inning. Texas Tech took advantage of a throwing error early in the inning en route to their eight runs.

Jace Jung, Parker Kelly, Dylan Neuse, and Cole Stilwell all have two hits each in Texas Tech's win. Neuse drove in three runs, also right fielder Kurt Wilson and catcher Nate Rombach each had 2 RBI. Rombach hit a two-run homer to right-center on a 3-2 count in the 7th inning inning.

Next week, Texas Tech is scheduled to play two mid-week games against Texas Southern. TSU will play at Texas Tech on Tuesday at 3pm and Wednesday at 1pm.

Then, next weekend, Texas Tech heads to Houston to play at the Shriner's College Classic at Minute Maid Park. Friday's game is set for 7pm against Texas State. Saturday's game will be against Sam Houston at 3pm, and Sunday's game is set for 11am against Texas A&M Corpus-Christi.
