One of the nice things about going to bigger cities is the choices you can find. So many places to shop. So many places to eat. Plenty of places to drink. Amarillo is definitely moving on up.
It's been a long few months and nobody knows it more that people who frequent the Chick-fil-A on Coulter. It's been a few months since they announced their closing for a remodel. It's something that they knew was the perfect time for it o happen.
Nothing is worse than waking up on the wrong side of the bed. That just starts your day off in the worst way possible. Those are the mornings that drivers on I40 seem to cut you off. You can't handle it. You just want to get to your job Downtown as soon and as with as little drama as possible.
It was about this time last year when the whole chicken sandwich war started. I think competition is good. The more good restaurants we get of any kind just gives us more choices and ups the battle for the best.
I forgot about that until I drove into work the next morning. Yep, it looked like I could have possibly gone swimming down 34th, if I wanted to. Pulling into the radio station parking lot I was a little concerned about my car making it through all the water. It was a water main that busted. It's a week later and they are in the middle of repairing it. Parts of 34th closer to Coulter is down to one lane.
When it comes to coffee, Amarillo has no shortage of options. However, most days it can be a hair-pulling experience to grab a cup of joe due to the long lines.
